United Way of Effingham County Receives Donations from Local Banks

United Way of Effingham County received checks from two area banks recently. Washington Savings Bank presented United Way Representatives with a check for $2,688, a 20% increase from their previous campaign. Crossroads Bank raised $3000, a 15% increase from the previous year.

The 2016 United Way Campaign has raised $188,815 of their $305,000 goal, around 61%. The campaign closes at the end of January. The organization supports 23 area non-profits including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Effingham County FISH, and Blessings in a Backpack.
