One was injured during a crash in Teutopolis, north of town, on Friday.
At 11:58 a.m. 78-year-old Mary Lou Deters, of Teutopolis, was heading eastbound on 1600th Avenue when she crossed the center line and ran off the roadway before trying to correct. The vehicle struck a deep culvert embankment, partially ramping the driveway at 16938 1600th Avenue, landing on its driver’s side in a ravine.
Deters was extricated from the vehicle. She was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham for treatment of incapacitating injuries.
