We caught up with Illinois State Senator Dale Righter of Illinois’ 55th District to discuss the outcomes of yesterday’s General Election. Namely, the impact of Illinois Democrats losing several seats in both houses, effectively ending a veto proof majority. Senator righter says that the election should send Illinois Democrats a message.
The Senator said the first chance to see if Democrats will be more willing to compromise will start next week at the Fall Vito Session. Senator Righter said that Donald Trump winning the presidential race was indicative of change on the national level. In particular that Americans are tired of the political class.
Righter warned that Democrats are mistaken if they believe that the only reason why Trump won the race was because they nominated a “flawed” candidate.
