A Indianapolis man suspected of robbing numerous banks in Illinois and Indiana is in custody and awaiting trial. 48-year-old Samuel T. Gregg, was arrested in connection to a bank robbery in Jeffersonville, Indiana that occurred in mid-October. Since being apprehended, Gregg has confessed to numerous other robberies including one that took place at Prairie State Bank and Trust, located on 18th Street, in Charleston. He has been involved with bank robberies dating back to July of 2015.
Numerous law enforcement agencies were involved in Gregg’s capture including the Jeffersonville, IN Police Department, the Indianapolis POlice, Indian State Police, Illinois State Police, the F.B.I., and the Charleston Police Department. Gregg is currently in Federal Custody and Awaiting Trial.
