Dorothy Louise Seibert, 91, of rural St. Elmo, Illinois, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Monday October 17, 2016 surrounded by family at St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Illinois.
Funeral Services will be conducted by the Rev. Marek Kasperczuk Thursday October 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church St. Elmo, Illinois.
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday October 19, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Kull Funeral Home, St. Elmo, Illinois. A prayer service led by Lloyd Durbin will follow the visitation. Burial will follow at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church Cemetery in rural Avena Township, St. Elmo, Illinois.
Dorothy was born on August 13, 1925 in Avena Township near St. Elmo, Illinois into the Christian family of Morris and Esta Guthrie-Durbin. She was raised with her siblings Dennis, Ethel, Marie, Betty, Alice and Mary. She wed John Bonaventure Siebert on September 2, 1942 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Elmo, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 28, 1991.
Dorothy graduated from St. Elmo High School and was employed by the Effingham County Health Department, and was a secretary for Ivan Boggs Oil business for a number of years. She also shared the responsibilities with her late husband in caring and raising one son and four daughters.

In Her passing she leaves behind her Son – Paul John Seibert of St. Elmo, Illinois, Son-in-law – Donald Lambert Beccue of Altamont, Illinois, Daughters – Deanna Sumrall of Lafayette, Indiana, Veronica Boose of St. Elmo, Illinois, and Angela Parks of Bourbonnais, Illinois, five Sisters – Ethel Moody of Glenview, Illinois, Marie Kilzer of St. Elmo, Illinois, Betty (husband, William “Bill) Springman of Brownstown, Illinois, Alice (husband, Harvey) Meseke of Shobenier, Illinois and Mary (husband, Keith) Denton of Beecher City, Illinois, one Sister-in-law – Donna Durbin of St. Elmo, Illinois, Special Friend – Delbert Foelsing of Effingham, Illinois, 25 Grand Children, 34 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, one Daughter – Carolyn Beccue, 2 Sons-in-law – James “Rich” Sumrall and Raymond Boose Jr., one Brother – Dennis Durbin 2 Sisters in Infancy, 2 Brothers-in-law – Eugene Moody and Robert “Bob” Kilzer, one Grandson – Jonathan Michael Beccue, one Great Grandson – Christopher Steven Beccue and his mother Karen Sue Mahon-Beccue.
