The following roadwork will begin on Monday, October 11th:
The Brownstown/US Route 40 Interchange Ramp with I-70 will be closing on Monday and Tuesday, October 10th and 11th for resurfacing. The ramp will close at 7:00am on Monday and Tuesday and will reopen at 4:00pm that same day.
Roadwork will begin for Jefferson Avenue at 6:00am on Monday, October 10th. Jefferson Avenue will be repaved from Willow Street to Fayette Avenue. Jefferson Avenue will remain open, but delays are expected when accessing Jefferson Avenue and the streets of Cleveland Avenue, Long Street, Forrest Street and Oakridge Drive. Depending on work progress, the north lane of Jefferson Avenue will be paved on Monday, October 10th. If paved on Monday, residents that live on the north side of Jefferson Avenue are asked to enter using the short stub between Fayette and Jefferson and exit onto Willow Street. However, if the north lane of Jefferson Avenue is not paved on Monday, the entire avenue will be paved on Tuesday, October 11th beginning at 7:00am. As crews will be starting the paving on the north side of the avenue heading west, residents are asked to be in the south lane of Jefferson by no later than 7:30am. Depending on progress, residents should be able to return to their residences by late afternoon, entering from Willow St and exiting onto Fayette Avenue.
