The Effingham County Economic Advisory and Grants Committee discussed their new responsibilities since being combined last month. A decision was made to combine the two because of their similar functions. During Tuesday’s meeting, the newly combined committee established that it would still continue to pursue grants along with the Economic Advisory Committee’s regular duties.
The Committee also discussed the state of several borrowers who have loans from the county revolving loan fund used to assist in local development. The fund currently has $34,000 available for potential borrowers.
A new agreement loan agreement for one such borrower, Holli’s Flower Shop, was also approved.
