One was injured Tuesday evening after driving over standing water on I-70, five miles west of Effingham.
37-year-old Christi M. Mulligan, of Arcola, was eastbound on I-70, near milepost 86.3, when she traveled over standing water in the roadway due to flash flooding. Mulligan lost control of the vehicle, spun 180 degrees, and overturned in the flooded south median.
Mulligan was injured in the crash and was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
