One person was injured in an ATV accident that happened in Jasper County, early Sunday morning.
24 year old, Jeffrey Esker, of Teutopolis, was traveling eastbound on 1000th Avenue in Jasper County. When Esker approached the intersection with 300th St, he missed the curve in the roadway. The ATV flipped once, coming to a rest on its top. Esker was thrown from the vehicle. He was transported to Carle Hospital by helicopter.
Jeffrey Esker was charged with DUI alcohol, driving while his license is suspended, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage, disobeying a stop sign, illegal transportation of alcohol, and reckless operation of an ATV.
