Cardinals get the offense going in an 11-6 win against the Marlins.
The Cardinals got on the board first with a Hazelbaker two run home run and a Wong RBI double in the second to take a 3-0 lead. The Marlins got on the board with an Ozuna solo home run in the bottom of the second. The Cardinals exploded for 6 runs in the fifth thanks to a Molina RBI double, Pham RBI single, Wong RBI single, Leake bases loaded walk, Garcia RBI single, and a Díaz sacrifice fly to make it 9-1. The Marlins came back with 5 runs in the bottom of the fifth thanks to a Rojas RBI double, Johnson RBI double, and a Prado three run home run to make it 9-6. The Cardinals added two more runs in the sixth on a Pham two run home run to make it 11-6.
Leake got the win improving to 8-8 on the season. Leake gave up 6 runs on 7 hits while striking out 3 over 5 innings. Ureña took the loss falling to 1-3 on the year. Ureña gave up 8 runs on 8 hits while striking out 4 and walking 4 over 4 and 1/3 innings.
