(Chicago, IL) — Another potential Democratic candidate for governor is making a case against incumbent Bruce Rauner. Chris Kennedy, former head of the Merchandise Mart, and son of the late U.S. Senator Bobby Kennedy, told the Illinois convention delegation Tuesday that Rauner and his allies are tarnishing the American Dream. State party boss Mike Madigan says Kennedy is making the rounds talking with party leaders about the governor’s race. Kennedy wouldn’t say if he’s running, dodging reporters’ questions after his speech to Illinois Democrats.
