Two big innings helped push the Dodgers to a win against the Cardinals 7-2.
The Dodgers got on the board first with 4 runs in the third. The Dodgers scored on a Maeda RBI bunt, Seager RBI single, and a two run double by Turner to take a 4-0 lead. The Cardinals came back with an Adams solo home run in the fifth to make it 4-1. The Dodgers added three more runs in the sixth thanks to a González solo home run and a Pederson two run single to make it 7-1. The Cardinals scored a run in the sixth on a Garcia sacrifice fly making it 7-2.
Maeda got the win improving to 9-7 on the season. Maeda gave up 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out 3 over 5 and 2/3 innings. Leake took the loss falling to 7-8 on the year. Leake gave up 7 runs on 12 hits while striking out 4 over 6 innings.
