Rizzo had the power going as his two home runs led the Cubs to a 6-2 win against the Mets.
Chicago got on the board first with a Russell two run double in the first. The Cubs added another run in the third with a Rizzo solo home run to make it 3-0. Rizzo added a two run home run in the fifth and got a RBI single from Báez to make it 6-0. The Mets came back with a two run home run by Flores in the eighth to make it 6-2.
Hendricks got the win improving to 9-6 on the season. Hendricks gave up no runs on 7 hits while striking out 7 and walking 1 over 6 and 1/3 innings. Colón took the loss falling to 8-6 on the year. Colón gave up 6 runs on 8 hits while striking out 1 and walking 2 over 4 and 1/3 innings.
The Cubs are off today and will start a series with the Brewers on Friday.
