26-year-old Cody A. Drake, of Louisville, and 25-year-old Blake V. Fehrenbacher, of Ingraham, were killed in a crash Saturday evening in Jasper County.
While traveling south on County Road 400E, just south of County Road 250N, a pickup driven by Cody A. Drake ran off the right side of the roadway. Drake over-corrected and slid sideways off the the left side of the roadway. The pickup overturned once. Both Drake and Fehrenbacher were ejected from the vehicle and were later pronounced dead by the Jasper County Coroner. Three of the other passengers were transported to HSHS St Anthony’s Hospital for minor injuries. One passenger was transported to Carle Hospital for more serious injuries.
Dalton Lee Courson, age 20 of Kinmundy, and Kaylee Sue Sefton, age 18 of Brownstown, were charged with failure to wear a seat belt and illegal consumption. Victoria N. Streif, 25 of Louisville, and Kendra Sue Courson, 22 of Ingraham, were charged with failure to wear a seat belt.
