Two were injured in an ATV crash early Sunday morning.
At approximately 2:40 a.m. on 675 N, a half mile west of 1725 E in Jasper County, an ATV driven by 24-year-old Dominic A. Ginder was heading westbound, when he struck the rear drivers side wheel of an ATV driven by 25-year-old Dusty L. Lindemann. Ginder lost control of his ATV causing him and a passenger, 23-year-old Allison M. Mitchell, to fall off and strike the roadway. Neither were wearing helmets at the time.
Ginder was transported to Carle Clinic in Urbana and Mitchell was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
Ginder is charged with DUI Alcohol, Improper operation of a non-roadway vehicle, Following too Closely, and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. Lindemann is charged with Improper operation of a non-roadway vehicle, Illegal transportation of Alcohol, and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.
