Eastern Illinois University President David Glassman says that the school will open this fall despite the budget crisis impacting the state. Glassman said that the school could face more cuts without state funding.
EIU has already cut hundreds of staff since March. Additionally, faculty and staff have been forced to take furlough days and have voted to accept a pay deferral plan to help keep the school open.
