Six students from the Effingham CEO Program will present at the 2016 Midland Institute For Entrepreneurship Trade Show on June 13th. In the CEO Program, high school seniors work with local professionals who help them create their own viable businesses.
Effingham CEO has selected Collin Hecht (Subtl Leathers), Mikayla Winters (Darling Dudi), Jared Minor and Drake Hill (Scape), Mindy Myers (Strings Attached) and Emma Spears (Whimsical We) To Represent their Program at this year’s Trade Show.
The CEO Program helps students learn problem solving and business skills though mentoring and practical experiences and was established eight years ago in Effingham. Since then, the program has spread to five different states including Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, and Colorado and serves 512 students. After the Midland Trade Show, two students will be selected to participate in the CEO National Trade Show.
The 2016 Midland Institute For Entrepreneurship Trade Show is open to the public and begins at 3:30 p.m. at the Thelma Keller Convention Center in Effingham.
