2016 St. Anthony Graduate Chandler Martelli is the recipient the $4000 Open Prairie CEO Scholarship. The scholarship is paid over the course of four years.
Martelli will make use of the scholarship while pursing his education in business, with a minor in chemistry, at Quincy University. He is interested in the pharmaceutical and agricultural chemical markets. During the CEO Program, Martelli managed VarsiTees, a high school spirit-wear clothing line. The CEO Program seeks to help high school students prepare for the modern business world by teaching entrepreneurial thinking and life-long learning.
“Assisting with the education of CEO graduates is one of the best investments we can make in the economic future of our community” said Jim Schultz, CEO of Open Prairie Ventures. The Program also encourages participants to return to and give back to their home communities.
To be considered for the scholarship students must be admitted to a four-year college program and major in something business related.
