The Cardinals offense couldn’t get going as they fell to Washington 10-2.
The Cardinals struck first with a Moss home run in the top of the fourth to take a 1-0 lead. Washington however came back at scored 3 in the bottom of the fourth to take a 3-1 lead. Matt Adams had a sacrifice fly in the seventh to make it 3-2 Washington. The Nationals then blew the game open in the bottom of the seventh thanks to Rendon home run and a Werth Grand Slam, making it 8-2. Ramos then homered in the eighth to make it 10-2.
Strasburg got the win for the Nationals moving to 9-0 on the season. Strasburg gave up 1 run on 6 hits and struck out 4 over six innings. Wacha took the loss moving to 2-6 on the season. Wacha gave up 3 runs on 4 hits while striking out 6.
