A 45-year-old Vandalia man has been charged with three counts of unauthorized videotaping. The charges against Charles Sharp come after probable cause was found by a grand jury during a preliminary hearing last week.
The charges allege that from May 1st, 2013 through February 26th of this year that Sharp, without consent, knowingly filmed a female individual while she was in the restroom.
Sharp is currently out on bond. Common bond conditions set forth by the court oftentimes include the defendant being prohibited from entering bars and not being allowed to consume alcohol or drugs, but a motion was approved to allow Sharp to enter bars for work purposes only. A pretrial is now set for July 27 at 10:00am.
