The search for Dracy “Clint” Pendleton is still ongoing. Pendleton has been on the run since shooting an officer in Mahomet Saturday night. The officer, Jeremy Scharlow, is currently recovering at home.
Police believe Pendleton is currently in Pope County in the Shawnee National Forest. He was last seen Monday, May 10, 2016 at approximately 9:15am wearing a black shirt, camouflage pants, and boots. Pendleton has shaved his beard and trimmed his hair. An updated photo is seen on the right.
Pendleton has sustained a possible gunshot wound to his neck from the incident in Mahomet. He has also been reported as having a prior unrelated knee injury that would possibly cause him to walk with a limp.
The ISP is seeking a peaceful resolution to this situation and sincerely hope Pendleton will turn himself in without incident.
