State Senator Dale Righter and News Director Tom Jamison spoke earlier this week about the ongoing budget stalemate in Springfield. Righter, who represents the local 55th District, also expressed his support for a bill that would provide additional funding to universities, community colleges, and map grants. Senator Righter was not in favor of this bill, saying it is a bailout for Chicago Public Schools, and does not proportionately fund downstate Illinois. Press play below to hear the full interview.
