Texas Senator and republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz has named his running mate if he gains the nominee. At a rally today in Indianapolis, Cruz introduced his former rival, Carly Fiorina, to join him on the ticket. The former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, Fiorina endorsed Cruz after suspending her own run for the White House back in February.
Cruz currently trails Donald Trump in the Republican Primary. Trump has received 954 delegates, while Cruz has 562. 1,237 delegates are needed to secure the nomination. If that total is not reached, a contested republican national convention will be need to select the nominee.
