The Effingham Lady Hearts softball team beat Windsor-Stew Stras 10-0 Wednesday. The Hearts scored in every inning but the second on their way to the win. Effingham’s Aly Armstrong shut down the Hatchets’ bats, pitching six shutout innings. She gave up just three hits and struck out 10.
Alissa Kersey had three RBIs, with two of them coming on a sixth inning home run. Hope Collier and Skyler Schafer also had two RBIs each.
Effingham improved to 8-2 with the win. The Hatchets fell to 11-2.
