The United Way of Effingham County has reached their fundraising goal for the 2015 campaign. The local United Way chapter set a goal of $300,000. That amount has been exceeded, with $301,212 raised to date.
The funds raised will be used to help 22 local partner agencies. The 2015 fundraising campaign will officially close on January 31.
The United Way recently received donations from five area businesses on their way to reaching their fundraising goal. Those businesses were Agracel, Dieterich Bank, Stevens Industries, Midland States Bank, and Siemer Milling Company. Photos from recent check presentations can be seen below.
