The Beck’s Hybrids location in Effingham is now open. A ribbon-cutting and flag raising ceremony was held Thursday for the opening. The new facility, which will serve as a distribution center, includes a 92,000 square foot building on a 90-acre piece of land next to the “Cross at the Crossroads” along Interstate 70. The location will feed into southern Illinois and parts of Missouri.
“We were very excited when the number one family-owned seed business in America showed an interest in Effingham. Today marks the culmination of a great team effort that resulted in the development of this fantastic facility,” said Mayor Jeff Bloemker. With Beck’s hallmark family values, work ethic, German heritage, and strong Ag theme, we see a perfect partnership with Effingham and a successful corporate presence.”
