The Effingham Park Board held a public hearing to receive public comment on a proposal to sell bonds in the amount of up to $500,000.
The purpose of the proposed bond sale is for financing park facilities and improvements, including landscaping, furniture, and fixtures at the Sports Complex, and related facilities, improvements, and costs.
No public comment was made at the hearing.
It should be noted that the Park Board sells bonds in the amount currently proposed annually, and that the sale does not impact taxes.
The Board will vote on the proposal at their February meeting.
