An Effingham women and a Kinmundy man were arrested over the weekend in Fayette County on Methamphetamine charges. The charges against 32-year-old Kevin Cook and 26-year-old Kala McMain allege that they were manufacturing meth in Griffith Cemetery in Brownstown.
Arresting officers found more than 390 grams of methamphetamine at the time of the arrest. Cook and McMain made their first court appearance in the case earlier this week on the charges of Manufacture of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine Making Materials
At their initial court appearance bond was set for Cook in the amount of $100,000 and for McMain at $75,000. Both are scheduled back in Fayette County on February 2.
