As most people know tonight’s powerball drawing as a $1.5 billion dollar jackpot. Tickets for the powerball have been bought all across the country. But did you know there are six states where residents can’t purchase lottery tickets?
Those six states are Nevada, Alabama, Mississippi, Utah, Alaska, and Hawaii. Residents of these states can still legally purchase lottery tickets, they just have to travel out of the state to do so.
Of the six states that don’t offer participation in the lottery, Utah and Hawaii are the only two that outlaw any form of gambling all together.
