The Effingham County Legislative Committee has recommended three appointments that will be voted on at the upcoming County Board meeting.
The 377 Board, which handles mental health issues, currently has a vacancy. The Committee recommended Sue Hecht.
The Committee also recommended Larry Taylor of Altamont to be appointed to the Housing Authority Board. Taylor is currently a member of the Economic Development Advisory Board. He would replace Norm Miller, who has resigned. Taylor’s term would be until the end of June 2018.
Julie Stephens was also recommended for appointment to the 911 Board. Stephens will replace Rebecca Merten if the appointment is approved by the County Board. Merten currently serves as the County Health Administrator, but she will soon be leaving for a position in Lexington, Kentucky.
