The Teutopolis Wooden Shoes improved to 13-1 Tuesday after their 69-39 win over Paris. The Shoes led from the beginning outscoring Paris 17-6 in the first quarter. Brett Mette led T-Town with 15 points. Teutopolis will be back in action on Saturday against Decatur Eisenhower at the St. Anthony Shootout.
The Newton Eagles got their fifth win of the season against North Clay. The Eagles (5-9) more than doubled up the Cardinals 70-34. Brock Mammoser was the games leading scorer with 19 points. Joe Stone also had 17 points for the Eagles.
Coming off their 1st place finish at the Vandalia Holiday Tournament, Altamont was unable to keep their momentum going against Shelbyville. The Indians fell to 11-2 on the season with their 56-52 loss to the Rams. Shelbyville was led by David Roedl’s 12 points. Altamont’s Ryan Armstrong had 18 points in the loss.
Flora also got the win Tuesday, beating Dieterich 67-52.
