Students in the Effingham County CEO Program are in the midst of organizing the annual CEO Experience event. The event, which will be on Wednesday, February 3 at the Keller Convention Center, is a motivational business conference that will showcase the CEO Program.
On Wednesday students in the program hosted a media day to promote the upcoming event. The CEO Experience is open to students and adults, and will be a beneficial experience for both. Keynote speakers will present throughout the day. The keynote speakers are Jon Acuff, who is a New York Times best selling author, Habeeb Habeeb, who is the President and CEO of Benefit Planning Consultants and the founder of the H-Squared Leadership Institute, and Craig Lindvahl and Karen Wolters, who will present together. Lindvahl is an award making filmmaker, state board of education member. Wolters has started five companies and is a Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame inductee. There are 9 breakout sessions that will be offered, of which attendees will select two. The breakout sessions will be led by local community and business leaders.
News Director Tom Jamison spoke with Colin Hecht and Shelby Nunamaker about the upcoming CEO Experience. Hecht and Nunamaker are both students in the program, who also serve as Marketing Co-chairs for the event.
The CEO Program, which was founded in Effingham County, has since expanded to be started in other counties in Illinois, as well as other states.
Tickets are currently available at the price of $50 for adults and $20 for students. After January 20th adult tickets will be $60 and student tickets will be $25.
