The Indianapolis Colts entered the final week of the NFL’s regular season still alive mathematically for the postseason. The Colts needed a lot of help though. Along with a win against the Titans, the Colts need the Texans to lose to the Jaguars and for six other games to fall their way. Indianapolis did their part, beating Tennessee 30-24, but Houston would also win. The Texans 30-6 win against Jacksonville secured the AFC South. Houston’s 9-7 record was good enough for their 3rd division title in franchise history, and first since 2012. The Colts, who finished 8-8, will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2011.
