United Way Campaign Chair Cheryl Pruemer recently stopped by the studio to talk with News Director Tom Jamison about the efforts of United Way in the community, including their ongoing fundraising drive. Pruemer was joined by Ed Blumer of the NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). NAMI is the newest partner agency of the United Way of Effingham County. There are 22 local partner agencies that are supported by the Effingham County chapter of the United Way.
The United Way of Effingham County is in the middle of a fundraising drive, with a goal to raise $300,000. It was announced on Wednesday, December 16th that the United Way is over two-thirds of the way to that goal, having raised $193,592.
