The City Economic Development Team recently visited Peerless of America at their plant in the Effingham Industrial Park.
“I think most people would very surprised by the breadth and depth of the Peerless product line,” stated Mayor Jeff Bloemker. “They work with some of the giants in the aerospace and commercial refrigeration segments. They’ve had a presence in Effingham since the late 1960’s and have been a good employer of several generations of Effingham citizens.”
Peerless of America manufactures heat transfer products via an aluminum extrusion process.They employ 150 people and will typically utilize 1 million tons of billet aluminum per year.
