The Effingham Unit 40 School District has announced that effective July 1, 2017 (for the 2017-2018 school year) Effingham High School Principal Jason Fox will become Assistant Superintendent. Kurt Roberts, who is an assistant principal at Effingham Jr. High School will take over the principal role at the High School.
Fox will be taking over the Assistant Superintendent position currently held byRem Woodruff, who is retiring in June 2017.
Superintendent Mark Doan stated, “Both gentlemen are excellent educators and understand the high expectations of the District, students, and parents. The appointment of Mr. Roberts and Mr. Fox will help the District continue on its path of providing an excellent education for our students.”
Both Kurt Roberts and Jason Fox have been part of the Unit 40 District for a number of years, with 17 for Fox and 15 for Roberts.
“Making this appointment now will allow for a smooth transition in preparation for 2017-18,” Doan added. The transfer of Roberts will leave an Assistant Principal position available at Effingham Junior High for the 2017-18 school year. No time table has been determined to fill that position at this time.
