The Teutopolis Unit 50 Board of Education has approved the district’s tax levy for Fiscal Year 2016. The levy was set to increase by 10.37% over last year. Because the increase was more than 5% the Board held a hearing, as required by law, prior to the regularly scheduled meeting.
The Board also discussed Board and superintendent evaluations. While going through their evaluations, the Board was instructed to consider possible changes to the process.
The Board also heard a proposal from a group of alumni to create a legacy program in honor of Craig Lindvahl. The Board approved the proposal, with Superintendent Bill Fritcher saying it is a way to honor a man who has positively impacted so many lives in the community.
