The City Council also approved several items in an Omnibus Vote, namely the allowance of a special building permit that allows MIXO Enterprises to construct a mini-warehouse. The construction of the warehouse requires a special permit due to its location in a Class M-1 Light Industrial District. The property in question is located at 600 W. Wabash Avenue. The Council had received no opposition to approving the permit during a special meeting held on December 8th and passed the recommendation to allow the building.
The Omnibus Vote also approved an item of discussion from the City Council meeting on December 1st that will allow Payment Service Network to provide more electronic payment options to residents for utility bills. The Effingham City Council will next meet on Tuesday, January 5th at 6:00 p.m. in City Hall.
