The Illinois State Police have announced their activity and enforcement figures for the month of November in District 12. Troopers in District 12, which includes Clark, Clay, Crawford, Cumberland, Effingham, Fayette, Jasper, Lawrence, Marion, and Richland Counties, answered 212 calls for service and initiated 15813 incidents in the field.
In addition, there were 1115 citations and 721 written warnings in October, including 640 speeding citations, 14 DUIs, and 37 criminal arrests. Troopers also assisted 182 motorists, conducted 322 Motor Carrier Inspections, and investigated 96 traffic crashes. There were no fatal crashes during the month.
In total there were 521 citations and 189 written warnings issued for “Fatal Four” violations last month. These violations are most associated with fatal traffic crashes and include Speeding, DUI, Failure to Wear a Seatbelt, and Distracted Driving.
November included increased enforcement efforts around Thanksgiving.
