The Effingham County 911 Board met Tuesday, approving an agreement with West & Company to conduct an audit of the County 911’s finances for fiscal year 2016. The audit is done annually, and has been done by West & Company in recent years. With the agreement approved, the audit process will now begin.
The Board was also updated on the recently installed console system at the County’s 911 answering points. The consoles are fully operational, but their are still a few bugs being worked out. Among the issues that needs fixed is a problem with their recording equipment. Once fixed it will allow unlimited log-ins into the system at the same time. It was also noted that a volume issue brought up at last weeks meeting has since been corrected.
