Effingham County and other local farmers have until December 15 to submit crop reports if they plan to participate in most USDA programs or receive certain benefits. Fall crops must be reported by this date, including, acreage, wheat, all forage crops, and pasture. Producers need to report this information at their local Farm Service Agency office.
Failure to file a timely report can result in a late-file service charge and a visual inspection.
Effingham County producers can schedule an appointment to complete the reporting process by contacting the local Farm Service Agency at 217-347-7107 extension 2.
