A Douglas County judge ruled Tuesday that the Teutopolis charged in 2013 with attempting to hire someone to kill her ex-boyfriend must remain under state administered psychiatric care. 33-year-old Jennifer Inman was charged in 2013 after she offered a man $10,000 to kill her ex-boyfriend. She was found not guilty by reason of insanity. A judge in 2014 determined that she couldn’t appreciate the criminality of the act.
With the ruling that Inman must remain in psychiatric care, the judge determined that Inman isn’t yet ready for the outside world and must remain in a secure mental health setting for at least another six months.
