Washington Savings Bank President has announced the bank will be collecting non-perishable food items to benefit area food pantries during the holiday season.
Food items may be dropped at either one of the bank’s two convenient Effingham locations at 200 S. Banker St. or at 1300 N. Keller Drive in Effingham. Donations will also be accepted at the new branch in Mattoon located 1111 Charleston Ave. Mattoon, IL.
“Each year we host a food drive to help with the high demands at local food pantries,” said Washington Savings Bank President and CEO DavidDoedtman. “By hosting this food drive, we hope to help those in need over the holidays, and also, provide our customers and community residents a convenient location to drop off donations.”
Donations will be accepted now through December 31. Effingham area donations can be made during lobby hours, which are from 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday; 8:30am to 5:00pm Friday; and 8:30am to noon Saturday. Mattoon area donations can be made Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00p.m.
