Two wheelers residents have been sentenced as a result of the October 2 meth bust in Jasper County.
35-year-old Michael E Jayne was sentenced to 8 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to the charge of Aggravated Methamphetamine Manufacturing, Aggravated. The charge was an aggravated offense because a minor lived within the residence where the manufacturing occurred.
31-year-old Tiffany Winters was the other Wheeler resident sentenced. She received four years in prison after pleading guilty to the charge of Methamphetamine Related Child Endangerment.
In both sentences, the offender is required to serve at least 75% of the sentence, rather than the more common “day for day” sentence.
The meth bust that led to Winters and Jayne’s arrest also resulted in 10 additional arrests. The other cases are still pending.
