According to Deadline, the highly anticipated Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light has been postponed from its original November, 28th release date. It will now be released on March, 25th 2016 pushing it out of the Oscar race. The main reason appears to be exposure. With a highly competitive Oscar roster this year, Sony Pictures Classics opted to move Saw the Light out of the cluster. This will also give them more time to promote the film. On top of all that, the star of the film, Tom Hiddleston, is very busy with several other films and releases including Crimson Peak and Kong: Skull Island.
