According to BuzzFeed, the Anderson Police Department, located in Northern California, has begun the process of phasing out batons in favor of modern police nunchakus. Unlike traditional Japanese nunchakus which were made from wood and metal, the version the police are using are made of heavy plastic and nylon cord. According to a department spokesperson, nunchakus can be used to restrain suspects by locking their arms and ankles. What could go wrong?
