Jasper County authorities have made six more arrests in connection with an October 2 methamphetamine bust in Wheeler.
Police made the six arrests at separate times over the weekend. Those arrested are 30-year-old Kelly Baker, 33-year-old Leda Baker, 40-year-old John Baker, 26-year-old David Bergbower, 25-year-old Kurtis Boruff, and 47-year-old Teina Piercefield. They were all charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor, a Class 2 Felony. Kelly Baker, Leda Baker, Teina Piercefield, and Kurtis Boruff, are all being held on $20,000.00 bond. David Bergbower has bond set at $50,000.00 and John Baker has bond set at $100,000.00.
It is alleged that at separate times all six individuals supplied pseudophedrine to the residence at 3160 E. St. Highway 33 in Wheeler. This is the home that was raided by law enforcement on October 2, leading to the initial six arrests. Miller once again complimented the efforts of local law enforcement. Miller stated, “We will continue to tirelessly pursue drug offenders in Jasper County and fight to keep methamphetamine and other illicit drugs off our streets.”
The investigation is ongoing.
