Four Guinness World Records could be set in Casey on Tuesday. Guinness officials will be on hand for the official measuring of the pitchfork, clogs/wooden shoes, rocking chair, and mailbox in an attempt to break the records for the title as the world’s largest for each of the categories.
Since 2012, Jim Bolin and Bolin Enterprises, Inc. have achieved four Guinness World Record titles; the Largest wind chime, Largest golf tee, Largest knitting needles and Largest crochet hook all located in Casey. They’ll hope to make it 8 records with Tuesday’s attempts.
Media, tourists, and community members are invited to witness the official measurings.
All items will be measured throughout the day starting with the pitchfork at 8:30am at Richards Farm Restaurant located at 607 NE 13th Street. At approximately 2:00pm the certificate presentation ceremony will be held at the rocking chair at 107 E. Main Street.
The items will be measured and certified by Guinness World Record adjudicator Nicole Pando and Illinois Licensed Professional Land Surveyor Matt Voris from Myers Engineering Inc.
