The Effingham County 911 Board approved their side of an intergovernmental agreement with the City and County. The agreement is to allow for the use of city and county facilities by the 911 Board. If approved, this will allow for the continued use of the city police department and county sheriff’s office as locations for 911 answering points. Other facilities would be available as well with the agreement.
In other action the Board approved the FY2016 budget for layover. That means the budget is now available for review, and will be voted on for final approval at next month’s meeting. The budget is in the black by $913, with income is estimated at $624,360. The budget also includes just under $500,000 in reserves.
