The Economic Development Advisory Board met Tuesday. The Board continued its effort to have recipients of the revolving loan fund program attend meetings to provide updates on their businesses. At Tuesday’s meeting Mark Anders of Chase Recycling Cardboard and Plastics was present at the meeting to provide the Board with that update. He spoke about plans to purchase a conveyor and other equipment to use for dumping and bailing of recycled equipment. The Board seemed interested in assisting in this expansion, and suggested that Anders return at a future meeting with additional information.
The Board announced Tuesday that they are still accepting loan applications from area businesses that are looking to expand and create jobs. They are currently looking into options for more loan funds. Additionally, as loan recipients make their payments that fund is able to increase as well.
